ResortQuest Kona By The Sea has an oceanfront fresh-water pool and a surrounding sundeck with spa tub, lounge chairs, and barbecue grills. The lobby houses an activities desk where luaus, golf, helicopter sightseeing, and other Big-Island activities may be booked.
Opened in December 2005, the on-site Spa Hina (open Monday–Saturday) offers yoga classes, seaside or lanai massage, essential-oil treatments, cranial-sacral therapy, and personal training. Body scrubs, organic wraps, water aerobics, and Pilates are expected by mid-January, 2006. The following are due to open in March 2006: Esthetician room for manicures, pedicures, facials, and waxing services; vibrational treatment room; training center equipped with physio balls, bands, cable-pulley systems, free weights, and benches; health food bar.

Each one- and two-bedroom unit features a kitchen, two bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and VCR. Other amenities include air conditioning and ceiling fans. Tropical-style decor incorporates richly colored floral prints offset by white furniture. High-speed Internet access is available for a surcharge. Nightly turndown service is included.
Smoking is not permitted inside hotel rooms.
